Kyoto: Saihoji Temple, The moss garden & Sutra copying

Saiho-ji, aka “Koke-dera(moss temple)” is one of the hardest places to enter due to the long process of reservation. But once you get inside, you can join the heart sutra chanting and copying before you can spend as much time as you want in a magnificent moss-covered garden which was modeled after by the golden temple and the silver one.
Matsuo taisha shrine is one of the oldest Shinto shrine in Kyoto revered by sake makers all over Japan. They believe if they put a drop of water from the shrine, their sake never go sour. It has a small sake museum, too.
