The secret lives of Maiko and Geiko
Get a glimpse of secret lives of Maiko and Geiko, Kyoto and Japan's real "living treasure." Why are they living treasures? Because they are highly educated successors of Japanese culture and tradition. They actually saved Kyoto city when Emperor Meiji left for Tokyo and Kyoto lost its status as the national capital around 1900. Ask our guide for details.
If you want to have dinner with a Maiko, there are some opportunities out there. However, that could cost a fortune. On the other hand, if you are lucky enough just to go to a street around there and happen to see one, you are likely to get fooled by "fake" one by tourists.
If you join our tour with local, knowledgeable professional guide, you'll have more chance to see a genuine Maiko while learning the history and life as Maiko and Geiko: how they enter the "flower district," what they learn to become Maiko and then Geiko, and so on.
Our night tour in flower districts show you the most beautiful and vivid aspects of Kyoto and Japanese night life. You don't want to miss it.
